What is Firestarter?
Firestarter is a 4 night summercamp for all people in secondary school.
It is a mix of games, entertainment, waterwars, late night music, workshop/seminars and time out for kicking around with your mates
How much does it cost?
£80. If this is a bit pricey for you, please email Firestarter@manx.net giving a few reasons why you can’t afford it, eg. You have 5 brothers & sisters and your Mum can’t afford to pay £480 to send you all.
Do I have to go to all the meetings?
No. If you don’t fancy going to any of the events, then you can just spend the time kicking around with your mates.
Can I drink alcohol?
No. We have a strict drink and drugs policy and cannot allow any alcohol on site. We will contact the Police if we discover drugs on site.
How old do you have to be to go to Firestarter?
The age range is 12 – 18. Basically if you are in secondary school this year, you can come. We only get a few people over the age of 17 and they are Firestarter veterans who come back from Uni to help out.
What do I have to bring?
Loads of blankets to keep you all snuggly & warm
£30(ish) for the café
Tent
Sleeping bag
Something to lie on
Toothbrush
Spare clothes
Is it for Christians only?
NO. Originally Firestarter was for Christians, but we found that so many people who are not interested in Churchy things were turning up, we have changed the programme to cater for everyone.
If we have missed a question, now is your chance to ask us. We will publish the answer on the website.
